After interviewing three outstanding candidates, the Madison-Virgil District Board of Education is excited to welcome Dallas Woolf as our next superintendent and 7-12 principal. His contract was approved at the February 13th board meeting, with his official start date set for July 1, 2025.
With 23 years in education—seven in the classroom and 16 in administration—Mr. Woolf brings a wealth of experience. He currently serves as principal at Russell High School (USD 407) and has held various leadership roles at Stafford (USD 349) and Hoisington (USD 431), including curriculum director, principal, and athletic director. He earned his Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Friends University and district-level licensure from Emporia State University.
Woolf's expertise in curriculum, career and technical education, early childhood programs, and community partnerships will be invaluable in leading Madison-Virgil, USD 386. His focus on student success, relationship-building, and expanding career pathways will help prepare our students for academic, athletic, and postsecondary success. Superintendent Search Update
Dear Madison-Virgil Community
We are pleased to share that we have identified several outstanding candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools. These individuals were chosen based on their experience, leadership qualities, and dedication to advancing education in rural communities.
The Board of Education and District Leadership Team will be interviewing the candidates this week. The Board will interview each candidate in executive session and after all interviews have been completed, the Board will then carefully consider all feedback and information gathered during this process.
We will notify the community as soon as a final decision has been made regarding our new Superintendent. We thank you for your ongoing support and for entrusting us with the responsibility of leading our school district into the future. Our top priority is selecting a superintendent who aligns with the values and needs of our community and school district.
We are happy to announce that Lewis Whitson, current K-12 Principal at Hartford-Neosho Rapids, will be interviewing today. We will announce the other interviews on the day they are scheduled.
