Superintendent Search Update Dear Madison-Virgil Community We are pleased to share that we have identified several outstanding candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools. These individuals were chosen based on their experience, leadership qualities, and dedication to advancing education in rural communities. The Board of Education and District Leadership Team will be interviewing the candidates this week. The Board will interview each candidate in executive session and after all interviews have been completed, the Board will then carefully consider all feedback and information gathered during this process. We will notify the community as soon as a final decision has been made regarding our new Superintendent. We thank you for your ongoing support and for entrusting us with the responsibility of leading our school district into the future. Our top priority is selecting a superintendent who aligns with the values and needs of our community and school district. We are happy to announce that Lewis Whitson, current K-12 Principal at Hartford-Neosho Rapids, will be interviewing today. We will announce the other interviews on the day they are scheduled. Sincerely, Tammy Baird

We are excited to announce the creation of Madison Elementary's new Social Committee, Spirit Sparklers. Our committee aims to support and connect our incredible teachers and staff. We strive to create a positive, fun, and supportive environment by organizing activities and events that bring us together outside the classroom and help us support each other during difficult times. Whether it's a lunch gathering, team-building activities, or celebrations for special occasions, the Social Committee will work to plan various events that provide opportunities for us to unwind, celebrate our achievements, and build stronger bonds as colleagues. To kick it off, the committee hosted a coffee/drink bar this Friday. Staff could choose from a list of hot, iced and sparkling drinks. Lindsey and Ashley had so much fun delivering and making everyone's little cup of joy on what seems like the 74th day of January!! Look for more special events in the future.
