Good Morning Bulldog Nation!
Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and express our deepest gratitude to the heart and soul behind our daily operations: our AMAZING Administrative Assistants!
Their dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering support keep everything running smoothly. From handling the behind-the-scenes tasks to managing multiple priorities, they are the backbone of our district, and we couldn't do it without them.
Alana, Dacia, Lisa, Christy, Kristy, and Kristan, thank you for your hard work, patience, and the positive energy you bring every single day. You make a world of difference, and we are truly grateful for everything you do! 👏✨

Please join us on April 30th!

📚🕯️ Powerful Learning in Action 🕯️📚
Today, our high school freshmen engaged in a meaningful hands-on learning experience with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Timeline Project. Students worked together to carefully assemble a chronological timeline of events leading up to and during the Holocaust — organizing, reading, and discussing the history as they built it.
Once the timeline was complete, they participated in a silent gallery walk, reading through each event, asking thoughtful questions, and taking time to reflect on the scale and impact of what they were seeing.
This was more than a history lesson — it was an opportunity to connect emotionally and intellectually with one of the most significant and tragic periods in world history. We are incredibly proud of the care, curiosity, and respect our students showed throughout this activity.
Each year, Yom HaShoah (Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day) is commemorated with ceremonies, reflections, and moments of silence in honor of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust. This is the date of the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Today, Madison FFA hosted the first annual Madison Ag Career Conference in our new Agricultural Education building. We had four sessions where presenters presented careers in agriculture along the lines of agronomy, ag finance, livestock and protein production, and Ag tech and industry. Students had the opportunity at the end to be a part of a Q&A session to learn even more about the presenters careers in agriculture. North Lyon County FFA and South Lyon County FFA brought members to attend as well. We want to extend a great thank you to the Madison FFA Booster Club and our presenters for their work and time today.

Today we celebrate our Bulldog Nation paraprofessionals and teacher aides. Our district is fortunate to have such high-caliber individuals serving the needs of our students and teachers every day. These women deserve our greatest appreciation. Thank you for helping our district connect today's students to tomorrow's opportunities.!

Interested 7th graders attended the Social Impact Career event at K-STATE today. They attended breakout sessions that focused on “helping careers” and were lucky to catch-up with an MHS 2024 graduate.

👧👦 Learning alert! 💬🧠🎨🏃♂️
Mrs. Adams’ High School Child Development class spent the past three days at our Early Learning Center, learning with and from our youngest students! High schoolers observed and interacted with the 3, 4, and 5 year-olds to explore how early childhood activities support speech & language development, motor skills, social/emotional growth, and cognitive learning.
From building block towers to chalk masterpieces, our students got a hands-on look at how toys, spaces, and play styles—like associative, cooperative, and parallel play—help young minds grow. 🧩📚🤝
Both groups had a blast, and the connections made were heartwarming. Our high school students were wonderful role models for our littlest learners!💛
📸 Check out the joyful moments below!

Congratulations!

Rudd Foundation Celebrates Largest Cohort of Rudd Scholars Yet, Expanding Its Legacy Across Kansas
Wichita, KS (3/26/2025) – The Rudd Foundation is thrilled to announce its largest cohort of Rudd Scholars to date, welcoming 50 driven and determined Kansas high school seniors who exemplify resilience, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to their communities. These remarkable students join a growing network of Rudd Scholars, now represented in 72 of Kansas’ 105 counties.
Each Rudd Scholar is awarded a prestigious four-year, full-ride scholarship to attend Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University, or Wichita State University. This year’s cohort (full list attached), which brings the total number of active scholars to 148 for the 2025-2026 academic year, consists of 6 scholars attending Emporia State, 9 attending Fort Hays State, 21 attending Kansas State, and 14 attending Wichita State. The program also celebrates 69 accomplished alumni who continue to carry forward the vision of Leslie Rudd through their professional and personal contributions to Kansas.
"Leslie Rudd’s dream was to see what a young person with work ethic and determination can achieve when the financial burden of college is removed," said Darrell Swank, President of the Rudd Foundation. "He believed in giving a hand up, not a handout, and we are honored to support these outstanding students as they pursue their education and contribute to their communities."
Since its inception, the Rudd Scholar Program has provided over 260 scholarships, an approximate total of $10.2 million investment in Kansas students. By focusing on more than just financial support, the program inspires scholars to embrace the pillars of support, professional development, mentorship, and giving back.
“The Rudd Scholarship is not just about paying for school; it is about building a lifelong network of learning, growth, and contribution,” said Corri Roberts, Vice President of the Rudd Foundation. “Our 148 active scholars and 69 alumni embody Mr. Rudd’s vision by supporting one another and striving to improve their communities, creating a ripple effect across Kansas.”
This year’s Rudd Scholars reflect the Foundation’s enduring commitment to transforming lives and strengthening the state of Kansas, ensuring that future generations continue to dream big and achieve extraordinary goals.
