Greetings Bulldog Nation,
As we approach Thanksgiving, our hallways are filled with turkey art, and our hearts are filled with gratitude. We want to say THANK YOU for the support of our Madison community and families for our schools. We have a lot to be proud of at MES and MJHHS. It takes a village of committed and caring adults to create an environment where students thrive. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work with your children and see them grow. And grow they do!

We hope you and your family have a safe, fun, fulfilling, and restful break.
Sincerely,
Madison Schools

Our MES Literacy Bingo was a huge success. We had incredible attendance. Thank you to all who came or donated. We raised $1000 in bingo card sales and donations and received an additional $500 donation from PAWS hotdog meal. We look forward to our fifth and sixth-grade classes beginning their research and budgeting to use this money to purchase new relevant books for our library. Thank you for supporting our goal of growing life-long readers!

We covered Turkey Tom!!! Madison Elementary students brought in 518 boxes/cans for our food drive. Wow. Thank you so much families for your donations. Our fifth-grade students went to drop off donations to the Bread Basket food pantry yesterday. They enjoyed the opportunity to serve their community. All of our MES students are excited to have earned an afternoon of board games and PJs.

Tonight's junior high basketball game schedule has changed due to leaks in the ceiling from the unfinished gym roof damage.
All games will be played in the secondary/new gym. Games will start at 5pm. One half JV girl's game followed by one half jv boy's game, followed by varsity girls, followed by varsity boys.

The HS physical science class has been helping 2nd-grade students with their engineering project to design an oil containment mat to use when changing the oil in vehicles in case of spills.
The mats had to fit under a vehicle, absorb oil, and be able to be lifted up for disposal.

Please plan to come to the elementary school tonight for the "Bingo for Books" event. PAWS will be serving a free will donation hotdog meal beginning at 6 pm followed by "Bingo for Books" at 6:30 pm. Proceeds from this event will go toward new books for the elementary school library. We are building Bulldogs and raising readers at Madison Elementary School and we appreciate your part in helping our students be successful!

Madison Junior High and High School students spent Friday morning rotating between several stations with different local veterans. These veterans shared their personal experiences, answered questions, and even taught students the proper technique for folding an American Flag.
Special thanks to our Veterans: Dale Wolgram, Randy Engle, Gary Boles, Mr. Dinsmore, Staff Sgt. Herndon, Mike Rayburn, Bob Robison, Bob Kimberlin, and Mark Adams.
