Senior Emma Fankhauser capped off an impressive high school forensics career today, leaving it all on the stage at the McPherson 1A State Championship. Emma's sharp wit and quick thinking earned her a spot as a State Semi-finalist in the Impromptu Speech category—a fitting finale for a dedicated competitor.
Emma wasn't alone in her quest for excellence. A talented squad represented the school with pride, competing across both Improvised Duet Acting (IDA)and Impromptu:
* Tess Fankhauser
* Hallie Davis
* Sadie Davis
* Zoaie Quintana
* Mason Martin
Whether they were crafting hilarious scenes on the fly or tackling complex prompts with seconds to prepare, these students showed incredible poise under the bright lights of state competition.
Congratulations to Emma and the entire team on a fantastic season!

Celebrating the end of the year with our SAFE (Seatbelts Are For Everyone) prize giveaway!
While we loved seeing so many winners today, our final surveys showed a district-wide seatbelt usage rate of 76.14%. This is a dip from previous years, and we know we can do better together.
Wearing a seatbelt is the simplest and most effective way to protect yourself and your passengers. It’s more than just a rule—it’s a choice that saves lives every single day. Let’s finish the year strong and make sure everyone buckles up, every trip, every time.

A big thank you to our PAWS for making our Sponsor-a-Reader program so special for our MES students. Because of your generosity, every student gets to head home with a brand new book of their own, and that’s something they truly look forward to.
The excitement in the building on delivery day is hard to beat. Between visits from the book fairy and our Bulldog mascot, it turns into a moment our kids won’t forget. Seeing each student proudly holding their new book says it all.
We are grateful for the continued support you give our school and our students. It makes a difference every single day.

Good morning, Bulldog Nation! Today, we would like to recognize our administrative professionals. They keep our district running every single day, and we want to take a moment to highlight just how important they are to our schools and offices.
Our administrative assistants are often the first people families see or talk to, and they handle that role with professionalism, patience, and care. They answer phones, support staff and students, manage schedules, keep things organized, and solve problems as they come up. They do all of this while making sure everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed and supported.
We are grateful for the consistency, attention to detail, and commitment they bring to their work. They are a steady presence in our buildings and a key part of what makes our district function so well.
Thank you to our administrative assistants for everything you do for our students, staff, and community.

On Tuesday, March 31, we hosted our Second Annual STEM Night. It was such a great evening for our school and community. We loved seeing so many of our students and families come out to explore, learn, and have fun together through hands-on STEM activities.
STEM Night is one of those events that really brings people together. It’s a chance for our kids to try new things, ask questions, and see learning come to life, all while connecting with the people and organizations that support them every day.
We’re so grateful to the many community members and organizations who gave their time to make the night possible: Christine Inman from the Madison Public Library, Paul and Patti Clark, the Greenwood County Cattlewomen, the Madison Fire Department, Phil Taunton, Levi and April Seaton, Tacie and Levi Hadden, Thomas Scott, Mike and Taylor Cordell from the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office, Sam and Greg Davis, Payton King, Sara Martin, Madison American Legion Post #124, the Madison Lions Club, and the MJHHS FFA.
It meant a lot to see families learning side by side, our students stepping out of their comfort zones, and our community showing up in such a strong way. We’re proud of our school and very thankful for the people who continue to support it. Thanks again to everyone who helped make the night so special.
