For Kansas Apply Free Days, MHS students attended an assembly where their teachers shared their paths to college. Seniors applied to Kansas college and visited with alumni Rudd Scholarship winners.

MHS sophomores visited Kansas State University for a campus tour, ate in Kramer dining hall, and attended a presentation in the School of Leadership. We were fortunate enough to visit with alumni Cade and Makenna during our lunch break! #EMAW

Today we want to recognize our custodial and maintenance staff members. From early mornings to late nights, they keep our classrooms clean, our hallways safe, and our school shining. Their hard work often goes unseen, but it is felt every single day.

Thank you to our custodial team for all you do!

On Tuesday, October 7th, Homegrown Coffey will have its coffee truck in the Madison High School parking lot from 7:00 a.m. to noon. Staff, students, and the community are encouraged to take advantage of this delicious opportunity!

This afternoon, Madison Elementary and Madison Jr High and High School had a "school family" day activity where each family constructed a scarecrow. Scarecrows will be displayed downtown for the fall season.

Madison Elementary School is looking for Scarecrow Decorating supplies. We are trying to collect the following supplies by this Friday, September 26:
Hay/Straw, flannel shirts, ball caps, coffee cans, overalls, straw hats, burlap sacks and pillow cases.

Senior Parents: Please plan to attend the Senior Parent College and Career Readiness Night on September 24th at 6:00 PM. This will cover important information regarding FAFSA, Financial Aid, College and Career Readiness, and the Scholarship Process.

The Kansas Apply Free Days will be held on October 6-8, 2025! During these three days, any Kansas resident, regardless of age or income, can apply for free at any of our 7 public universities, 19 community colleges, 6 Technical colleges, and the 21 private member institutions of the Kansas Independent College Association. Eligible programs include general applications, certificate programs, associate degree programs, and bachelor's degree programs. (Graduate programs or other mid-degree applications will not qualify.) Madison Elementary School is having a food drive this week. Students are working together to bring in enough food donations to hide the Bulldog in the entryway of our school. If we can't see him at the end of the week, students will earn special board game time! This is a great way for our littlest Bulldogs to serve our community!

📢 Learning Professionalism in Action! Our 7th graders are working this week on what it means to be professional — not just in writing, but in person. Today, students practiced role-playing real-life situations, from asking about missed assignments to thanking a staff member, first showing “how not to do it” and then modeling the professional way to handle the same conversation. It’s all part of helping our students build confidence and communication skills they’ll use far beyond the classroom. We’re proud of the effort they’re putting into learning respect, clear communication, and professionalism! 👏
