Please help me in congratulating Noah Harrell and Emily Kilgore as junior high students of the month and Apryl Salendar and Rebecca Housh as high school students of the month for September.

The following are positive comments included on the nomination form for each student:

  • Noah has shown kindness to many students.
  • Noah helps others.
  • Noah demonstrates leadership skills amongst his peers and brings a positive attitude every day.
  • Emily has been a shining star this year.
  • Her attentiveness to work has been amazing.
  • Emily is very kind to others.
  • Apryl is a kind and helpful student.
  • Apryl works extremely hard to make herself the best she can be.
  • Apryl smiles and greets others when in the hallway.
  • Rebecca has stepped up this year and has become a leader among her peers.
  • Rebecca is willing to take on a challenge that allows her to grow.
  • Rebecca is always helping others around her.

The student of the month program is designed to promote excellent effort and performance in the areas of academics and citizenship.  Excellent effort and performance does not necessarily mean the student of the month will have all “A’s” and “B’s” in the classroom.  It may be a student who has improved their grades from one month to the next and is passing all of their classes or a student who demonstrated great citizenship throughout the month. Those students who are selected and designated student of the month will receive the following:

  • Designated parking space for 1 month or a candy bar and pop

  • Immediate access to the front of the line for lunch and a la carte (seconds)

  • Free entry into HOME athletic events for 1 month

  • One FREE tardy to be used in the month they are designated Student of the Month

Congratulations Noah, Emily, Apryl, and Rebecca!
