October Students of the Month

Please help me in congratulating Gavin Hinrichs as junior high student of the month and Layla Buttel and Allyson Turner as high school students of the month for October.

The following are positive comments included on the nomination form for each student:

  • Allyson is a hard worker and a self-starter.
  • She is a great student who you can always count on to do the right thing.

  • Gavin is always helpful and keeps a positive attitude
  • Gavin is always kind and respectful in the classroom.  He goes out of his way to be a great peer and assist others.
  • Layla goes above and beyond in not only her dedication to her classes, but is also very respectful to her peers.
  • Layla has shown support for her peers on several occasions.

The student of the month program is designed to promote excellent effort and performance in the areas of academics and citizenship.  Excellent effort and performance does not necessarily mean the student of the month will have all “A’s” and “B’s” in the classroom.  It may be a student who has improved their grades from one month to the next and is passing all of their classes or a student who demonstrated great citizenship throughout the month. Those students who are selected and designated student of the month will receive the following:

  • Designated parking space for 1 month or a candy bar and pop

  • Immediate access to the front of the line for lunch and a la carte (seconds)

  • Free entry into HOME athletic events for 1 month

  • One FREE tardy to be used in the month they are designated Student of the Month

Congratulations Allyson, Gavin, and Layla!
