New second grade teacher Elizabeth Kusmaul is no stranger to Madison, KS.  She was born to Dr. Bill and Jennifer Browning and raised West of town on the Browning Ranch. She attended Madison Elementary and graduated from Madison High School in 2001.

After high school her desire to be a teacher was realized at Kansas State University where she graduated in 2007 with a BS in Elementary Education.  She then received her Masters in Special Education from Emporia State University in 2011.

Elizabeth is married to Steve Kusmaul and they reside in Emporia, KS, with their children Carson (4 years) and Gabby (7 months).  Carson is attending pre-school at Madison Elementary and is very excited to be a Bulldog!

When asked about her first weeks back in USD 386 Elizabeth had this to say: "Life in 2nd grade has been very busy but also very exciting.  We have been working hard on learning new routines, setting goals as well as having some fun along the way."

Welcome back Elizabeth!  So happy to have you with us!
