With over 130 applicants, two Madison High School seniors have been selected this week as counselors for the 80th anniversary session of the American Legion Boys State of Leadership Academy. Colton and Chase Shaw were each selected for the coveted counselor positions in the June 4 to June 9th, 2017 session.

Colton Shaw will serve as a City Counselor and Chase will be a Media Counselor for the 2017 session. They will report for training on June 2. We are proud of the positive impact they are bound to have on the young men joining Boys State this year!

Madison's James-Sill-Brown American Legion Post #124 had sponsored these two with a scholarship of $550 to attend the Boys State of Kansas camp last summer. Chase and Colton Shaw are the sons of Kevin and Lynetta Shaw.
