Senior Cassidy Barnard signed a national letter of intent to play
volleyball at Pittsburg State University. Cassidy received numerous
honors during her volleyball career at Madison High School. Although
not able to compete in her senior season due to a knee injury, Cassidy
was honored by Lyon County League coaches who unanimously agreed to give
her an honorary spot on the first team this year. In three seasons at
Madison, Cassidy was a two time first team all Lyon County League
selection (sophomore & junior year) and was named to second team her
freshman year. She was part of the Eureka All-tournament team and
Grasslands first-team all three seasons she competed and earned Emporia
Gazette All-Area team honors two years. Cassidy accumulated an
impressive 864 kills and 165 aces in just 3 seasons. Academically Cassidy is a Kansas Honor Scholar, National Honor Society
Member (President), involved in quiz bowl, and has been on the high honor
