September Theme - #mhsattitude

posted Sep 3, 2014, 9:47 AM by website team   [ updated Sep 3, 2014, 9:47 AM ]

September has been deemed by the MHS Student Council the month of attitude. That is, having a positive attitude.
Are you struggling with this?
Or are you that helpful friend that could lift up someone else's day?

A positive attitude is catching...contagious even.
Let's have an epidemic of it!

Each month, we will have a different theme. Students can get "caught" having a positive attitude and staff can enter their name into prize drawings at the end of the month!!

Use the hashtag of the month (#mhsattitude) and we will pull your quotes and pictures for the school website!

StuCo Regional Workshop

posted Sep 24, 2013, 8:43 AM by website team   [ updated Sep 24, 2013, 8:43 AM ]

On Monday, the Madison Student Council had the privilege of attending the Regional
Student Council Conference, held at Emporia High School. The purpose of this
conference was to allow Student Councils from around the state to gather, share things
they are doing within their school, and gain a little more knowledge on just what being a
leader requires. Students got to hear from two very profound leaders, Lori Kiblinger and
David Cherry.

The Madison Student Council had a blast and hope to incorporate many
of the new ideas they gathered at the conference

With the month of September, our P.I.R.A.T.E.S. focus in on "P" for Perseverance.  Newt Gingrich says, "Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did."  On this link watch the first video. Please take the time to watch this video, and think about ways you can persevere this month. Remember people are watching what you do and following accordingly.
